What It Is: Your “BE-factor” measures how you “show up” in your day to day life. It gives you a window into your perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors – at work, home and in relationships. The “BE-factor” is an attitudinal assessment, based on an energy/action model developed by Bruce D. Schneider. It shows you what your “default” tendencies, or behaviors are – especially when stressed. Once you see this written out for you, and we talk about it, it is a huge “Aha Moment!”
I start everyone in my programs with a Be-Factor Assessment. But, because I feel so strongly about its impact on one’s life and awareness, I have made it available as an individual purchase. It is the most valuable assessment tool I have ever come in contact with.
Why Is This Important: It is especially useful when you are going through periods of transition. We all operate on “auto-pilot” but what we don’t realize is how this can affect our day to day life. We have all learned behaviors that are not very helpful. When we are going through a big transition, or personal crisis, our default tendencies seem to run the show…and they’re not always the best leaders. Becoming aware of these tendencies puts you more in control of your emotions, and your life.
The Process: You take an online assessment that takes about 20 minutes. Then, you and I have a telephone debrief session that lasts about an hour. This assessment teaches you where you are getting stuck, and during our debrief session, we talk through some ways you can get “unstuck” – and you become more aware of your behaviors.
