When I work with clients on a product or program launch, we "reverse engineer" that, too! I've never heard that term before, but I like it. We start by getting the end results clear in our mind, and then align heart, spirit and creative energy, as well as our ability and willingness to receive. Then, we map it out, starting at the end and working our way to the present.

What I appreciate about what you've written is that so many of us don't start at the end. We don't allow ourselves to feel and enjoy the end result before it's manifested... and as a result, our vision and often the actions we take along the way are fuzzy and flimsy. There is so much creative juice and power in that vision!

Teri, THANKS for the reminder that I'm not a wimp and not flawed!

A colleague of mine, Deb Shanilec of ConnectedAndCommitted.com, had this to say about discomfort, which is SUCH a big aspect of change: "Uncomfortable is the new comfortable. If you are able to accept it as proof that you are indeed making progress, you'll actually look forward to it."

I'm not there yet, but I'm working on it!

Okay, I never should have read this on a Monday. I'm having a hard time just staying conscious must less understanding what consciousness really means.

And don't you feel that the "knowing" you talk about isn't a mental awareness, or intellectual knowing, but a heart and gut knowing? As you say, "deep inside our truest selves." While I've visited that place, I'm ready to buy property and live there for the rest of my days.

I love having the ability to instantly change how I feel by shifting my thoughts accordingly - always helpful to be reminded of this.

The fear that we are brilliant. The fear that we are inadequate. The fear, the fear, the fear so keeps us trapped, small and struggling. I love your suggestion of chunking it down, soothing the inner critic by moving ahead with smaller steps that feel doable and easy. I shall do that today!

Beautiful post! I've been grappling with the concept of vulnerability recently and you speak right to it here... Understand what you want, go for it, and ask for help along the way. There is nothing meek about living out loud - it's the greatest badge of courage. Thanks, Teri... for continuing to inspire us!
